The Alfonso Song

"The Alfonso Song" was written during my senior year of high school for the same reason as "Erhelum," only for my band teacher and not my choir teacher.  It also came about in a much different way: the melodies from this were actually from a DI skit I did with my friends in 2018.

 

The opening solo was the product of our team manager giving us a blank sheet labelled "notes" as we brainstormed, which we didn't use. Instead, I started writing down note names, and I ended up using those in this piece. The other melodies were taken directly from the music we had written for the DI skit, where we were a band of monsters dubbed "The Monster Muench." (Don't ask.)
