About the Site

Off On a Tangent was created for me to share unspecialized content with the Internet! Other than a handful of art and writing accounts (you might have gotten here from one of them), I'm not huge on social media. I've never really been interested in it, but I do like making things and letting people see them, and sometimes what I make or have to say isn't specific enough to put on one of those art or writing websites. That's where this website comes in! You might find things on this website that have also been posted on my art accounts, but you'll also find things that don't quite fit in there.

The second reason I created Off On a Tangent was that I wanted to have an online space that wasn't created by my eighth grade self—a website that was a little cleaner and more focused, and not full of empty pages. (Also, that website was made on the old Google Sites and might go away soon, since I don't really like the new one.) That being said, you might find content on this website that's been transferred over from my eighth grade self's website. Not everything will be transferred over—seriously, that old website is a mess—but if I do, you'll know it's something that I'm proud to have made!

(And yes, the website that eighth-grade me created is still up, and I don't plan on taking it down. It might be a mess, and not something I'm going to actively share around, but it's not super embarrassing or anything, and it's a nice piece that I have in the history of me.)

About Me

aaaaaaa.jpg

Hi there! I'm Nat, a future music teacher and a ex-future game designer. I like making things—writing music, penning stories, drawing, making cosplays. I make a lot of fan works—historically, I've been really into The Phantom of the OperaBroken Age, and Undertale, and more recently, I've also been enjoying Portal, Paul Shapera's New Albion trilogy, and Sweeney Todd. You'll probably catch me talking about one of these things on this website! Oh, and dogs. I like dogs, too. I've also become a massive diction nerd, so if you wanna talk IPA, I'm your guy.

Aside from all of those things—and the things I have listed in the navigation bar—I also like making interactive materials. That's why you'll find that I make a lot of Twine games/stories. (Those are text-based games or interactive stories where the player clicks on links to make decisions. Maybe you knew that already.)
